UFQ A38 Carbon Fiber ANR Aviation Headset
The UFQ A38 is a lightweight active noise reduction aviation headset designed for pilots looking for a combination of comfort, passive acoustic attenuation and electronic noise reduction.
One of the main features of the A38 is its genuine carbon fiber ear cups, helping to keep headset weight to approximately 350 grams.
The headset features Active Noise Reduction (ANR) to reduce continuous cockpit noise. UFQ states that the system can reduce certain background noise by up to approximately 90%. Actual performance depends on factors including cockpit noise, ear seal condition, fit and operating environment.
UFQ M-7U microphone
The current A38 version is equipped with the UFQ M-7U amplified electret noise-cancelling microphone.
It is designed to provide clear voice transmission across a wide range of cockpit environments and is fitted to an adjustable microphone boom for correct positioning.
Designed for extended flying
The combination of relatively low weight, padded headband and comfortable ear seals makes the A38 suitable for extended periods of use.
Its carbon fiber construction combines low weight with a strong headset structure.
ANR and passive operation
The Active Noise Reduction system is powered by two AA batteries.
UFQ specifies an operating time of up to approximately 48 hours, depending on battery type and operating conditions.
According to UFQ, when the ANR electronics are switched off the headset can continue to operate as a conventional passive aviation headset.
